There's many thin and light gaming laptops that fits your needs.
If your priority is to game, and use it for school/work ,then x360 spectre is a compromise. If your priority is to use spectre for work/school and gaming is secondary, then x360 is a great choice. That is still cheaper comparing to buying a spectre and building another gaming pc. Gigabyte aorus rtx3080 box cost around 800 t usd and its a great investment ,especially when thunderbolt becomes common almost in all future laptops. Then spectre x360 will still work IF you invest in an external gpu box. Now if you were to game using a monitor ,I would assume you are either at home or sitting on a fixed desk.

If you wish to hook it to an external monitor 28 to 32inch, 1080p resolution looks ugly on those size screens. You can still game at 1080p, medium to high settings and honestly, on a 16inch screen, they look alright. If you are planning to play FPS, call of duty, fortnite, AAA titles that are very 3d graphical, open world RPG with lotsa movement, panning and action, then rtx 3050 at 4k is not gonna work well.
Graphics wise,2k and 4k on 16inch are very marginal differences. Gaming at 2k res on 16inch screen will be a more enjoyable experience since the fps are higher, less taxing on gpu, laptop runs cooler. If you play RPG like buldurs gates, strategy games like civilizations, total war etc, then rtx3050 at 4k is possible. Yes, my main rig is a desktop but I do occasionally game on the spectre ,especially when I'm traveling overseas for work.īack to your question, is rtx3050 good enough for 4k gaming?
